Monocrome Shots

For this picture assignment we had to take a picture of a car in monochrome ( black & white ). Instead of taking an ordinary straight shot picture of a car, I wanted to take it in a different angle, in a different perspective. As I was brainstorming I knew I was pressing for time, and as I looked at my watch I realized my watch was a mirror. It took me a LONG time to get it right. The first obstacle was making the camera focus on the watch. The second obstacle was fitting the car in the face of the watch, and the third was finding which car I liked. I think it came out great, what do you think?

Extra Shot

As I was playing around I took this shot. Although it wasn't an assigned project, I still loved it and thought I should share it. This is my favorite picture so far.
Until next time,

Portrait Practice!

For today's "assignment" for my photography class, we had to take portraits of people. Our teacher, Derek said the hardest part will probably be to find a subject and convincing them to allow you to shoot them. He also said as photographers, we'd have to get comfortable with talking to our subject and trying to make them comfortable. I'm very awkward when meeting new people, so I opted by shooting my friend and classmate, Amanda! Isn't she pretty? Look at those eyes! I really love this picture, but I'm not going to lie, it took me many attempts and failed shots to get this. It was hard, but not too hard. Practice makes perfect right? The main thing that was hard to remember was to adjust the ISO according to the environment. All is well though, according to this decent shot. What do you guys think? (づ。◕‿◕。)づ❁
